Atlanta has generated big buzz in recent years as a top destination for young, ambitious professionals. People love our sunny, mild weather. (Yes, we do wear boots in the winter, but only because they look good.) Intown is hot, with millennials flocking to distinctive neighborhoods like Midtown, Buckhead, East Atlanta, Virginia Highlands and Grant Park. Each has its favorite burgers, bars and festivals.

As a resident you’re going to be really busy. But when you do get time off you’ll have no trouble spending it visiting places like the Martin Luther King National Historic Site, World of Coca-Cola, Piedmont Park, Fox Theater, Georgia Aquarium and the High Museum of Art.

Whether you like to sit on the sidelines or get personally sweaty, Atlanta is a sports-loving town. Take in the scene at a Hawks or Braves game. Enjoy Georgia State women’s basketball, Georgia Tech football, NASCAR and lots more. There’s no shortage of pickup sports and leagues, plus great walking and running on the Atlanta BeltLine.

Atlanta loves a good meal. We’ve got fun breakfast places, old school burger joints like the Varsity and plenty of upscale dining. Like our population, our palate is diverse.

Just 20 minutes northwest is Marietta, a charming, small city that’s equal parts hip and hometown. The square is the city’s heartbeat, with performances, festivals, restaurants, theater and history. Live a bike ride away from work in a historic home, condo or big city-style apartment without the big city price.

If you’re into hiking, check out the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park or head up to the North Georgia Mountains. Get some friends together to cycle on area trails or raft on the Chattahoochee River.
