To eliminate conflicts between inpatient and outpatient education, the curriculum is structured in a block of 4 weeks of inpatient rotations followed by 2 weeks of ambulatory time.

During the ambulatory rotation, residents will spend time in both continuity and subspecialty clinics. This block integrates community engagement by incorporating volunteer activities at organizations focused on mitigating social determinants of health.

Individualized educational experiences include electives in Cardiology, Pulmonary, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Oncology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Research, and Hospital Medicine.

The education of our residents is our highest priority. Didactic sessions provide protected time dedicated to enhancing and enriching clinical skills. In addition to receiving instruction, residents will strengthen their public speaking and teaching skills through regular conference presentations.
